Hot off the easel:
“Belgian Express” a unique mixed media piece with a touch of travel and mystery. Completed in soft pastels, india ink, acrylic and pure pigments on 30lb watercolor paper. Sealed and ready to frame. I have a fondness for draft horses, and was lucky enough to own a few. Each had its own personality, but all were gentle giants with amazing power. When I saw a draft pull online, I was reminded of that power and how horses have helped man travel and build this country. So this piece is a bit of a step back in time, to when horses were needed to travel anywhere.
A fancy Irish pony in a dark lace dapple suit. Painted on Sarah Mink’s Breyer traditional size model, this model has some changes. Now a stallion, without the puckered lip. Completed in acrylic, soft pastels and inks for a deep depth of color and hair by hair detail. Everything from eye lashes to striped hooves- this guy is unique and full of beautiful details.
I planned on releasing him on January 2021, but will entertain offers if you can’t wait.SOLD.
